Wrongful death
When someone you love doesn't come home
If a crash or an unsafe property took a member of your family, the law lets the family bring a claim. I handle it gently, and I handle all of it.
I meet the family wherever is easiest, explain who can bring the claim and what it covers, and deal with the insurers, the investigators and the paperwork. You set the pace of our conversations.

What a family's claim can cover
No claim replaces a person. It can keep a family from losing its home and its footing too.
Funeral and burial
The costs the family paid or still owes.
Medical bills
Care your loved one received before they died.
Lost income and support
The pay and help the family counted on.
Companionship and guidance
What a spouse, a child or a parent has lost.
What families ask me
Who can bring a wrongful death claim?
It depends on the state. Usually a representative of the estate brings it for the spouse, children or parents. I explain who that is in your family's case.
Is there a criminal case too?
Sometimes. A criminal case and the family's claim are separate, and the claim doesn't have to wait for the criminal one to end.
How soon do we have to decide?
There is a deadline, and it can be shorter than people expect. Talking to me doesn't commit you to anything.
Talk to me when you're ready
Call, text or ask a relative to call for you. I can come to your home.
