Questions and answers
Straight answers to what people ask me most. If yours isn't here, call or text.
What does it cost to talk to you?
Nothing. The first conversation is free, and you're under no obligation to hire me.
I don't have papers. Can I still make a claim?
Your immigration status doesn't stop you from bringing an injury claim. I only ask about it if it truly matters to your case, and what you tell me stays confidential.
The other driver's insurance called me. Should I talk to them?
You can give them your name and how to reach you. Before you give a recorded statement or sign anything, call me.
How long will my case take?
It depends mostly on your treatment. A claim can't be valued until your doctors know how far you'll recover. I give you a realistic timeline once the first records come in.
Is there a deadline to file?
Yes. Every state sets a time limit, and some claims have shorter ones. Call soon so the deadline doesn't decide for you.
Will I have to go to court?
Most injury claims settle without a trial. If yours needs a lawsuit, I explain what that means for you before anything is filed.
My health insurance paid some bills. Do I have to pay it back?
Sometimes part of it, from the recovery. I deal with those repayments and often negotiate them down.
Can you meet me somewhere other than the office?
Yes. I visit clients in the hospital, at home or wherever is easier for them.
I already signed with another lawyer. Can I switch?
Usually, yes. Call me and we'll talk through how it works; you don't pay two full fees.
Something I didn't answer?
Ask me directly. It's free, and there's no pressure to hire me.
